Terri Garcia holds a master’s in executive leadership and a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies. She is dually certified as a CADC III – CA and an SUDC III with a Clinical Supervisor designation. Terri founded Empowered Through Choice Training Services and has been a Trainer/Educator at RIHS - Academy for Professional Excellence and a CADRE Trainer for San Diego County.

Terri Garcia has over 20 years in behavioral health and holds a master’s in executive leadership and a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies. She is dually certified as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III – CA and a Substance Use Disorder Counselor III with a Clinical Supervisor designation. Terri founded Empowered Through Choice Training Services and has presented at the HER Conference (2016), Substance Use Disorder State Conference (2019), and Medically Assisted Treatment for Behavioral Health Services (2018). She has been a Trainer/Educator at RIHS - Academy for Professional Excellence (2017-2023) and a CADRE Trainer for San Diego County since 2018. Currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Psychology, Terri uses her gender-responsive, trauma-informed approach to support and empower diverse individuals.
