Sherry Daley is a treatment advocate in California who is instrumental in policy development for the alcohol/drug profession. Sherry Daley is a leading addiction treatment advocate in California where she has been instrumental in policy development for the alcohol/drug profession and industry for more than 30 years. Her experience in law and regulation includes engagement in crafting and implementing the state’s coverage for substance use disorder; prohibitions against patient brokering; recovery residence civil rights legislation; enforcement of the state’s parity laws; strengthening regulation of licensed and certified facilities; and developing new regulations for certified counselors.

Daley is published in several industry publications including, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Weekly, Counselor Magazine, and the CCAPP Weekly Dispatch. She also wrote and produced Crossroads Centere Antigua’s quarterly publication for Eric Clapton’s renowned facility. She is the author of Kristina with a K: A Rainbow Person’s Journey from Addiction to Recovery, a memoir/self-help book based on the life of nationally acclaimed motivational speaker, Kristina Padilla.
