Lori Newman has held numerous positions, from Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Program Manager, and Executive Director to Community Social Model Advocates. She sits on boards across California and has held leadership positions for CCAPP. Lori facilitates a state-wide monthly call to ensure programs have a platform to share their concerns and receive information on the federal and state levels.

 

Full Bio

Lori Newman has dedicated 30 years to the treatment of individuals who suffer from a substance use disorder. She has held numerous positions with the same company from Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor to Program Manager to her current position of 18 years as the Executive Director to Community Social Model Advocates, Inc., a 501 (c)(3). She currently sits on several boards across California, has held various leadership position on the CCAPP board and is a strong leader in the advocacy for programs and professionals. Helping others and ensuring programs have the support needed to navigate the changing landscape of the SUD field has been a passion of Lori’s since the beginning of her career. Lori currently facilitates a state-wide monthly program call to ensure programs have a platform to share their concerns and experiences and receive information on the federal and state level.
