Dr. Jason Roop is the founder and CEO of the Center for Trait-Based Transformation,
Vice President of Research and Development for Hometown Health System, and Assistant Professor of Business and Theology at Campbellsville University. He has written extensively on leadership traits in people with substance use disorders and developed the Trait-Based Model of Recovery, a person-centered, evidence-based approach implemented nationwide. His Trait-Based Model of Prevention will be launched in schools this fall.

Dr. Jason Roop is the founder and CEO of the Center for Trait-Based Transformation, Vice President of Research and Development for Hometown Health System, and Assistant Professor of Business and Theology at Campbellsville University. After overcoming 17 years of active addiction, Dr. Roop entered recovery in 2013 and earned his Ph.D. in Business Management and Leadership in 2022. He has written extensively on leadership traits in people with substance use disorder and regularly speaks at national addiction conferences. Dr. Roop developed the Trait-Based Model of Recovery, a person-centered, evidence-based approach implemented nationwide. His upcoming Trait-Based Model of Prevention will launch in schools this fall. Dr. Roop is a dedicated advocate for holistic, person-centered addiction treatment and ongoing recovery research.
