 David Cohen is an experienced leader and licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years in the field of addiction treatment, working across every continuum of care. David’s approach focuses on motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, family systems, and integrating mental health services to promote long-term recovery for individuals from diverse racial, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Throughout his career, David has led clinical teams, developed programs, and implemented strategies to enhance client care across various treatment settings. His leadership is grounded in a commitment to inclusivity and compassion, ensuring that individuals from all walks of life receive the highest quality of care. David’s ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams has been instrumental in coordinating effective treatment that address the unique needs of each client.  David has lead community initiatives educating first responders, school faculty and community leaders on how to address the drug addicted population in a compassionate, trauma informed manner.

David holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Illinois. Clean and sober since 1996, he remains committed to advancing addiction treatment through leadership, clinical practice, and education.
