Dr. Elizabeth Cawley

Exploring Addictions, Technology, and Hope

 Dr. Elizabeth Cawley is one of Canada’s leading experts in student mental health. She has a PhD from McGill University, specializing in post-secondary student mental health. Dr. Cawley is currently the Vice President of Mental Health at Keel Mind. Prior to joining Get A-Head, Elizabeth was the Director of National Mental Health Strategy for ASEQ Studentcare where she oversaw their mental health programming and created a holistic e-mental health tool called Console, for students across the country. Dr. Cawley is also an adjunct faculty member at Dalhousie University in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Since 2018, Dr. Cawley has been an expert member on the Technical Committee and Resource Committee. She was selected as one of 35 experts across the country to help develop Canada’s National Standard for the Mental Health and Well-Being for Post-Secondary Students. Dr. Cawley is also the Founder and Managing Partner of The Cawley Mughal Group, a consulting firm that works with for profit and non-for-profit organizations, assisting them with their mental health programming. Her team also works with post-secondary institutions to do audits against the National Standard as well as develop mental health strategies and programs in alignment with the standard. Dr. Cawley is an active member in the area of post-secondary student mental health and is helping to write the book on campus mental health through her contribution to the field. She is dedicated to student wellness and improving practices to support students.
